Puralo — Privacy Policy

Puralo is a mood tracking app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

What We Collect

• Google account info — your email address and display name, used solely for authentication.
• Mood ratings — the daily mood level (1–5) you choose, along with the date you recorded it.
• Purchase records — which style items you have unlocked, so they stay available across devices.
• Notification preferences — whether reminders are enabled and at what time. Stored on your device only.
• Anonymous usage events — that you logged a colour, turned the reminder on, or added the widget. Your mood ratings are never included. These events record that an action happened, never how you felt.

How We Store It

Your mood data and purchase records are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), linked to your Google account. Each user can only access their own data. Notification preferences are stored locally on your device and are never sent to any server.

Analytics and Advertising

Puralo uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count the anonymous usage events listed above, so we can understand whether the app is useful and measure which adverts lead people to install it. This means those events, along with your device's advertising identifier, are shared with Google and may be used to measure our advertising.

These events are not linked to your Google account, your email address, or your mood data. We never send your mood ratings to Google Analytics.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not share your mood ratings, email address, or purchase records with anyone. Only the anonymous usage events described above are shared, and only with Google.
• We do not show adverts inside Puralo, and we do not use your mood data to target adverts or to build a profile of you.
• We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any sensor data.

Data Retention

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. If you want your data deleted, contact us and we will remove it within 30 days.

Anonymous usage events are held by Google Analytics under its own retention policy. Because they are not linked to your account, we cannot locate or remove them in response to a deletion request. Uninstalling Puralo stops any further events being sent.

Children

Puralo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
